📱How to Post to the Feed in Ditio Core (en)

This article shows how to create and share a post in the Feed within Ditio Core  app— including adding text and photos, so updates from the field be seen in real time. This is useful for documenting progress, HSE, deviations, machines, or work areas – directly on the project.

ℹ️Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between posting as "Internal" and posting as "Everyone"?

"Internal" posts are only visible to you and the management in your company — use this for notes that shouldn't go beyond your own organization. "Everyone" posts to the shared feed for the whole project, so your team and the customer can see it too. If you're just noting something for your own management, choose Internal; if it's an update the whole project should see, choose "Everyone".

Do I need to attach a photo, or is a text-only post okay?

Text alone is a completely valid post — no photo required. That said, photos post full width in the feed and are great for showing progress on site, so it's worth attaching one whenever you have something worth showing. Photos are important documentation.

Who can actually see my post, and can people react to it?

That depends on whether you posted it as "Internal" or "Everyone." "Everyone posts" show up in the shared feed for the whole project, and colleagues can like and comment on them — a great way to stay connected on-site. Internal posts are limited to you and your company's management, with no wider visibility.

Why can't I scroll back and see older posts — mine or a colleague's?

If you used to be able to go back through earlier posts and no longer can, this is almost always down to a filter setting rather than something missing from the app. Clear the filter in feed.

What happens if I post without an internet connection?

The app saves your post locally and syncs it automatically once you're back online — photos sync the same way. You'll typically see the post marked as waiting to sync until it's uploaded, so there's no need to post it again.

💡 Tips

  •  You can upload several photos in the same post

  •  To delete a photo you've posted: tap the three dots (…) on the post → Delete
